Study objective: To evaluate nutritional efficacy and bifidogenic characteristics of Aptamil for Colic & Constipation formula containing prebiotic oligosaccarides scGOS/lcFOS (9:1), partially hydrolyzed protein and beta-palmitate vegetable oil.

Higher percentage of bidodobacteria with Aptamil for Colic & Constipation formula compared to standard formula (Fig. 1)
Infants in both groups passed similar number of stools. Softer stools with Aptamil for Colic & Constipation formula compared to standard formula (Fig. 2)
Growth of infants in both group were in line with published growth curves
No clinically significant differences in blood biochemical and amino acid levels between the two groups
Both formulas were well tolerated
Aptamil for Colic & Constipation formula resulted in higher counts of bifidobacteria in the stool, softer stools, and supported satisfactory growth in comparison to standard formula.
